Commissioner Johnny Wilson has qualified unopposed for re-election to a second term as district one commissioner in southeastern Henry County. Wilson would like to thank first and foremost the Lord for the wisdom and guidance He has provided Johnny to continue giving back to the community.

As the only qualified candidate, Wilson will most likely go on to win election to a second term. Johnny appreciates all of the support from his lovely wife, Donna, family members, and local community as he serves on the Henry County Board of Commissioners.

The primary for district one commissioner will be held on May 19 followed by the general election in November.

About Commissioner Johnny Wilson

Commissioner Johnny Wilson was first elected to the Henry County Board of Commissioners in 2016 after retiring from the Henry County Fire Department a few years prior. With over thirty years of experience as a firefighter, a commitment to support first responders and improve public safety in our community has been a major priority for the commissioner since day one in office.

Wilson is also dedicated to improving our transportation infrastructure in Henry County and being fiscally responsible with public dollars. This was evident when Commissioner Wilson was the only member of the board to budget one-hundred percent of district funding towards transportation projects in the recently passed SPLOST V program.

Johnny is a lifelong Georgia native and lives in Locust Grove with his wife of over forty years, Donna. Together, they have three grown daughters and five grandchildren.
