Wilson 2020

I need your votes to continue representing District One!

Thank you for visiting the campaign website for Johnny Wilson. Commissioner Wilson represents district I in southern Henry County and is seeking re-election to a second term.

As commissioner, Johnny has applied conservative leadership and his decades of firefighting experience to better Henry County. The commissioner’s campaign and daily commitment to the community can be summarized into three key areas:

  • Support first responders and protect our neighborhoods.
  • Improve local roadways easing commute times and maintain our infrastructure.
  • Balance available funding to be invested towards the county’s highest needs.

Johnny's Focus

Commissioner Johnny Wilson was first elected in 2016 on a commitment to three major focus areas.
Now, he is asking for the community's support to continue building upon the work that's been started.

Public Safety

As a retired firefighter, Commissioner Wilson is a strong advocate for our first responders. Johnny has championed the hiring of additional officers, purchasing new vehicles, and upgrading equipment.

Traffic congestion is a top concern among Henry County residents. Commissioner Wilson dedicated one-hundred percent of the commission district's SPLOST V funding to roadway projects.

Priority Spending

Commissioner Wilson considers fiscal responsibility with taxpayer dollars a serious commitment. Since Johnny was sworn in, Henry County has adopted its annual budget without raising the millage rate.

About Johnny

Commissioner Johnny Wilson is a proud Georgia native and has resided in Henry County for nearly forty years. Having spent a lifetime in public service, his old firefighting colleagues encouraged him to run for the county commission in 2016. Johnny lives in Locust Grove with his wife, Donna.

District I
